As advancements in nanoparticle technology continue, nanoformulations open new frontiers in the treatment of diseases, including cancer, infectious diseases, and neurological disorders. CD Formulation focuses on developing customized nanoformulations to enhance drug targeting, increase therapeutic concentration at lesion sites, and reduce toxicity, ensuring safer and more effective treatments.
In recent years, nanoformulations have been widely used in many therapeutic fields, such as cancer therapy, cancer immunotherapy, cardiovascular disease treatment and heart disease treatment, etc.
Nanoformulations for the treatment of tumor diseases are one of the hottest areas of high-end formulation research. The use of nanoformulations has greatly improved the safety and efficacy of common anti-cancer drugs. The main advantages of nanoformulation and delivery systems based on nanotechnology are effective targeting, delayed release, extended half-life and reduced systemic toxic effects. The use of nanoformulations has significantly improved drug delivery to targets.
Nanoparticles have unique nanoscale properties of the delivery agent, morphology, non-rigid modulation of the delivery agent's magnetic forces, and surface properties that contain target moieties and charges, so their shape can influence the production of antibodies and cytokines. Nanoparticles accumulate primarily within tumors due to their weak lymphatic drainage and vasculature dripping, thereby enhancing permeability and retention responses. Nanomaterials are easily modified, and targeting ligands that have been loaded externally can promote the uptake of nanomaterials by specific cells. Therefore, nanomaterials can inherently modulate immune responses.

Nanoparticles can improve the targeting of drugs to overcome biological barriers. New nanocarriers that enter the blood circulation can be selectively taken up by immune cells to modulate the inflammatory process and migrate locally to plaques to deliver therapeutic payloads. We inject designed nanoparticles into the vasculature or target blood vessels to achieve the purpose of treating heart-related diseases such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, and myocardial infarction.
With the continuous development and exploration of nanotechnology platforms, many types of nanoformulations have been developed and approved by multiple institutions around the world for the treatment of cancer, including liposomes, metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, polymer micelles and lipid nanoparticles, and other nanoformulations are in different stages of clinical and preclinical trials.

In recent years, the number of nanoformulations in clinical trials has continued to increase, and many trials are currently in Phase II and Phase III. Liposomes and their mixtures, as well as many metal oxide nanoparticles, carbon quantum dots, polymer micelles, nanoemulsions, and other types of nanoformulations have also entered clinical trial research, which provides certain technical support for the commercialization of nanoformulations.
