CD Formulation's targeted liposome transport services combine drug transport technology with drug formulation development expertise to accelerate the industrialization and commercialization of drug products.
Targeted liposome drug delivery system refers to the drug delivery system in which drug molecules (large molecules, small molecules, etc.) are encapsulated in liposomes and then selectively concentrated in target tissues, target organs or target cells through local administration or systemic blood circulation. Liposome targeting includes active targeting, passive targeting and physicochemical targeting.
CD Formulation provides targeted liposome delivery system services to evaluate the role of liposomes by testing and evaluating the physicochemical properties, stability and targeting of targeted liposomes. We provide data analysis and solutions to help our clients solve problems in drug delivery as soon as possible, thus accelerating the process of drug development for our pharmaceutical clients.
Physical and Chemical Performance Testing of Targeted Liposomes
CD Formulation provides morphology, particle size and particle size distribution testing of liposomes. Depending on the nature of the drug and the drug delivery route, CD Formulation can provide solutions for liposomes along with physical property testing of liposomes.
Other physicochemical property tests offered by CD Formulation include drug encapsulation rate and liposome loading capacity testing.
Stability Testing of Targeted Liposomes
CD Formulation provides leakage rates, oxidation indices and phospholipid amounts for targeted liposomes. Our pharmacologists can also provide data analysis services to evaluate the performance of targeted liposomes and provide corresponding solutions.
Targeting Evaluation
Targeting evaluation is performed by relative uptake rate re, targeting efficiency te, and peak concentration ratio Ce.
AUCi is the area under the drug-time curve calculated from the concentration-time curve for the ith organ or tissue, and the footnotes m and s denote liposomes and solutions, respectively.
re > 1 indicates that the liposome is targeted in that organ or tissue;
re < 1 indicates no targeting.
AUC targeted and AUC non-targeted are the area under the concentration time curve of the target organ or tissue and non-target organ or non-target tissue, respectively.
t>1 indicates that the liposome is selective for the target organ or tissue than the non-target organ or tissue.
Cp is the peak concentration, and the larger the C, the more obvious the effect of changing drug distribution.
