Thermosensitive Gel Transdermal Formulation Development

Inquiry

A hydrogel is a three-dimensional polymer network whose core can hold a large amount of water while not dissolving. The hydrogel network promotes binding to other macromolecules, thereby forming a cage-like structure in the form of a matrix. Smart hydrogels have the same properties as traditional hydrogels with the addition of stimuli-sensitive behavior, which makes them a more promising type of hydrogel for biomedical applications. Smart hydrogels respond to a variety of stimuli, including temperature, pressure, pH, biosignals, light, and enzyme reactions. CD Formulation has professional knowledge and technology accumulation in the field of gel transdermal formulations and provides you with formulation development services for various organized transdermal formulations.

What is Thermosensitive Gel Transdermal Formulation?

Thermosensitive gels are temperature-responsive in-situ gels that transform from a liquid state at room temperature to a semi-solid state at body temperature, providing enhanced adhesion and stability at the administration site. This sol-gel transition allows for controlled drug release and the maintenance of drug activity. Thermosensitive gels are highly compatible with tissues and bypass physiological barriers, making them a key area of focus in pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications.

What Can We Offer?

Thermosensitive Gel Material Synthesis

We specialize in synthesizing temperature-sensitive biomaterials, including synthetic materials like poloxamers, poly N-isopropyl acrylamide, and polyethylene glycol-polyesters, as well as natural polymers like chitosan and cellulose. These materials utilize hydrogen bonds, π-π interactions, Van der Waals forces, and hydrophobic interactions to create robust gels.

Development of Composite Formulations

For complex drug delivery needs, we develop composite formulations by combining thermosensitive gels with microspheres, liposomes, nanoparticles, and inclusion compounds. This enhances performance and optimizes sustained and controlled drug release.

Thermosensitive Gel Patch Development for Different Administration Sites

We develop customized thermosensitive gel patches for a variety of administration sites, tailored to meet your specific clinical requirements.
